ABOUT me

Andrea Ciceri, LCSW-S (she/her/hers)

Welcome! I’m Andrea, a licensed clinical social worker and board-approved supervisor based in Austin, Texas.

I was born in California and raised in Central Texas. I attended the University of Texas at Austin, where I received my BA in Psychology and Master’s of Science in Social Work (MSSW).

I have over 13 years of experience providing therapy to children, teens, and their families in various settings, including child development centers, schools, and outpatient practice. My style is warm, direct, and infused with humor. I believe therapy works best when children and parents feel understood, respected, and genuinely involved in the process.

I work collaboratively with children, teens, and their caregivers to understand what is contributing to current challenges and develop treatment that fits the individual child and family. I consider each person’s unique strengths, temperament, developmental profile, relationships, and environment rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.

My practice is neurodiversity-affirming, and I welcome neurodivergent children and families as well as families who may not identify with that language or framework. I believe children can build meaningful skills and make positive changes without therapy being centered on compliance or changing who they are. Depending on your child’s needs, therapy may address anxiety, emotional regulation, relationships, transitions, self-esteem, coping skills, or other challenges affecting their well-being and daily life.

I strive to create an inclusive therapeutic space for all identities - race, culture, size, religion, gender, sexual orientation.

Outside of my practice, I enjoy reading, yoga, and spending time outdoors with my spouse, two children, and two senior dogs.
