Before Intervention: Rethinking Clinical Decision-Making in Complex Child and Adolescent Cases

$0.00

This virtual workshop introduces a practical way to slow down clinical decision-making so that interventions are better matched to what is actually driving and maintaining symptoms. Clinicians will learn how to identify when behavior is linked to increased developmental demands, reduced structure, executive functioning challenges, or broader system overload—and how this understanding can improve treatment sequencing and outcomes.

Objectives:

  • Participants will be able to identify factors contributing to client symptoms, including developmental, environmental, relational, and neurodevelopmental variables

  • Participants will be able to apply a structured clinical decision-making framework to differentiate when symptoms-level intervention, systems-level support, or an integration of both is indicated

  • Participants will be able to develop a treatment sequence that incorporates both systems-level supports and targeted symptom-level strategies

When: Friday, August 7th 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. via Google Meet

Early Bird Cost (before Monday, July 27th): $65

After July 27th: $75

Earn 3 CEs (Texas Social Workers, Psychologists, LPCs, and LMFTs)
